There are numerous versions of shot blast machines out there, skew-roll, roller-table, monorail, chain mesh belt, spinner hanger, tumble blast but the most popular and versatile version is the table blast system. One of the more interesting table machines is the multi-table version. This MT422 has two independent indexing tables, one to load with product while the second table is in the blasting mode. The blast zone is 24” wide 6” tall. There is a combination of a safety curtain and a switch that controls the input of the indexing. The operator loads the table and then has both hands on the switch to activate the rotation of the second table into the blast zone. If the operator breaks the plain of the curtain the table stops and must again press the switches to resume.
The tables are manufactured with 3/8” AR 500 plate. While the walls of the blast chamber are lined with manganese alloy wear plates. The control panel shows an analog load indicating amp meter for each wheel, along with a digital hour meter, 110 voltage transformer to handle the control circuit power. An abrasive auger is used to transport shot media in the base unit and then adjustable manganese alloy sweeps bring the shot to the hopper for distribution. The bucket elevator system has an air wash separator to clean shot prior to the blasting process.
