The chain mesh belt conveyor shot blast machine-MB4242 Foundry version has 8-12 VMAX wheels @ 30hp each. This machine is over-sized from an abrasive conveyance perspective and over-sized to handle sand. The system includes a rotary scalp drum that removes flash and large sand pieces. It also has a dual drum magnetic sand separator to further eliminate sand from the abrasive flow. Sand is highly abrasive to shot blast machines used in the foundry industry. This machine is designed to minimize this issue at every stage. The shot valves are electro-magnetic, which provides a longer wear life when using sand. This is better than mechanical shot valves, which do not last as long in this environment.
This mesh belt conveyor shot blast machine system is dual type. It features both rollers and a heavy belt. This design supports parts weighing 400 to 500 pounds per linear foot as they move through the blast cabinet. The exit area features a vibratory conveyor. This conveyor returns shot and sand for recycling through the unit. A vacuum can be used on the parts as they come off the vibratory conveyor. This will also help clean the area around the machine.
