There are many industries that find themselves needing the expertise of a
cleaning system. The propane industry is that type of industry, with both an aqueous
and shot blast system available to choose from they can find the version that works
best for there needs. One of those systems is from Viking Blast and Wash Systems,
which have been producing cleaning equipment for over 40+ years, the GC113 shot
blast system. The GC113 has gone through continual engineering advancements to
set the standards for this gas cylinder arena. The GC113 (shown here) is a gas
cylinder blaster cleaning 12”- 36” diameter by 96” in maximum length propane tanks.
Airless blast cleaning is accomplished with four 1,725 R.P.M., 10 horsepower
centrifugal wheels lined with 3/8 inch thick manganese, chrome alloy steel wear plates.
Dynamically balanced and matched wheel components assure smooth operation. A
two-position hand valve controls the door with a pneumatic lockout device that
provides access to the blast cabinet. The door is gasketed to hermetically seal the
cabinet during operation. Air intake vents below the door allow the dust collector to
evacuate dust and other contaminants from the blast cabinet. The blast cabinet roof
and sides are lined with replaceable AR500 wear panels. The tank is supported above
the blast wheels by two parallel rollers powered by a 1 horsepower variable speed
drive to rotate the cylinder at a constant speed above the blast wheels for even blast
exposure.
Optional equipment that can be added to the GC113 are:
1) 5HP end wheels that clean the hard to reach areas of the top and bottom of cylinders
2) 15HP perimeter wheels that can speed up the total cycle time
