Premier Shot Blasting Machine Manufacturer

Equipment for the Manufacturing Industry

Viking Wheel Blast Systems is a shot blast machine manufacturer that distributes a full line of industrial shot blasting machines. Our shot blast equipment cleans and removes dirt, mill scale, and rust. These products are ideal for the preparation of large numbers of parts or exceptionally complex parts for painting or other finishing operations. We provide machines to the Foundry/Forging, Manufacturing, Propane, Aerospace, Welding Gas, and Wheel/Rim industries. The shot blast machines are built to last and give years of performance and ROI.

Featured Equipment for the Manufacturing Industry

Shot blasting, or abrasive blasting, is an essential part of any manufacturing industry seeking to maintain the longevity of their parts. It is a mechanical method of propelling abrasive at the part, by using a centrifugal wheel to remove surface contamination, scale, and other small impurities from the surface. For example, this could be structural steel which includes massive bridge girders and heavy construction equipment, such as large weldments, plate steel, bar and wire steel, and foundry castings.  After the steel abrasive hits the surface, the shot blast machine recycles the media. Dust and other contaminant particles are removed by an air wash separator within the machine and sent to a dedicated dust collector. This process provides a dust-free operation. In general, blasting before moving onto finishing serves a few primary purposes:

  • Utilizing a shot blast machine before finishing allows you to clean and descale surfaces
  • It adds texture to enhance paint adhesion for a more durable finish
  • Can reduce maintenance costs by increasing coating life when the proper surface is achieved
